How to not include your own pageviews Blogger stats

Blogger stats is still not the reliable numbers to look when it comes to your blog's pageviews because it counts all kinds of views. It counts your own views, robots, and all kinds of posts views.

For this tutorial, I will just show you how to easily not include your own pageviews on Blogger stats to make your pageviews count more a bit consistent.

But still, Google Analytics (GA) is the recommended one when if you really want to see your Blogspot's or website under Blogger platform pageviews. Just make sure you already connected your blog to your GA account.

So, without further ado, let's start this tutorial.

Here are the steps on how to not include your own pageviews on your Blogger stats for a specific BlogSpot or website under Blogger

1. Open and log in your Blogger account and go to your blog that you wanted to disable or not track your own pageviews. When inside, click on Stats (see image below).

2. Inside Stats, scroll down until you reached the bottom of the page. You will see there the "Manage tracking your pageviews" link. Click that link.

4. Now, check the "Don't track my views for this blog". A message will appear saying "Your pageviews for this browser will not be counted for this blog.

your pageviews from this browser will not be counted for this blog

Done! You have successfully enabled the "Don't track my views for this blog." on your own blog.

Important Notes:

  • If you login your Blogger account on Chrome Guest, then, you still need to redo this tutorial to make your pageviews still not counted for that specific blog.
  • The same issue will occur when you login your Blogger account using Chrome Incognito. You stil need to check the "Don't track my views for this blog."
  • Once you exit Guest mode and Incognito, you need to repeat the process again to be able to disable your view count on your own blog.
  • So, to make sure that your own pageview count will not be included on your Blogger Stats, just open or own posts using the browser that you performed the tutorial above. Do not use other browser, as well as Guest Mode or Incognito.
