How to download & view GCash Transaction History

Unlike before, you can download your complete GCash Transaction History. But now, you wont be able to do so. You can still download your GCash transaction details but only from the previous year up to the present date.

And for this tutorial, I will show you how to do it. This is a 3-part tutorial which includes the following:

• Requesting GCash Transaction History PDF file
• Downloading GCash Transaction History
• Downloading PDF reader app on Play Store (disregard this tutorial if you already have a pdf reader on your phone)
• Opening password-protected GCash transaction history pdf file

So without further ado, let's start!

Here are the steps on how to download and view your GCash transaction history

Requesting GCash Transaction History PDF file on the GCash app

1. Open your GCash account. Inside, press Transactions.

2. Now, inside Transaction History, press the envelope with paper icon (see image below).

3. Inside Request Transactions, press on "Select no. of days" and then press "Select start date".

4. Then in the menu that will appear, select Custom.

5. Even though on the image below I selected a very old date just to make sure that all my GCash Transaction History will be recorded and downloaded, it just don't happened. So, just set the Start date to January 1, 2021 and then press OK.

6. Now, in the "Select End Date" just enter the current date (which is I think will automatically appear).

7. When the present or current date is already set. Press OK to proceed.

8. Now, press the Confirm button to confirm your request to download GCash transaction history.

9. GCash will say "The file will be sent to your email." after a transaction history request was made.

Downloading GCash Transaction History

1. Now, open your Gmail app. Inside find the "no-reply Your GCash Transaction History..." email from GCash in your Inbox. On a rare case that you won't find it inside Inbox, then, try searching for the email inside your Spam or Junk folder. When you find the email, open it.

2. You will see inside the email the instructions on how to open your password-protected PDF file.

3. Press the Download icon to download your transaction_history.pdf file.

Downloading PDF reader app on Play Store (disregard this tutorial if you already have a pdf reader on your phone)

1. After downloading your GCash Transaction History, you won't be able to open it if your android phone doesn't have a PDF file reader. You need to download the app first. Go to Play Store.

2. Press "search for app & games."

3. In the search field, type "pdf reader" and press ENTER.

4. In the results, press any PDF reader app. For this tutorial I selected PDF reader: Read all PDF files.

5. In the app page, press the Install button.

6. Wait for the download to finish. It will also install itself. When done, do not open the PDF reader. Just leave it.

Opening password-protected GCash transaction history pdf file

1. Now, open your File Manager.

2. Inside, press Documents or Downloads folder.

3. Press transaction_history.pdf to open it.

4. The PDF reader will request permission, just allow it to manage your android pdf files.

5. Just allow it again to access your android pdf files.

6. Now, enter your password. It is your GCash last name + your GCash number last 4-digit number. Example: santos7890. When done press OKAY.

7. Done! You have successfully requested, download, and viewed your GCash transaction history. Like I said earlier, it is now the complete history.
