How to download YouTube video on Android

For this post, I will show you how to easily download a YouTube video using your android phone. Inside the YouTube app, there is already a download link for every video that you play. And once you've downloaded that video, you can play it even you are not connected to the internet. But, you can only play that video inside the YouTube app and not through other video player because the video is nowhere to be found.

What we are going to do on this tutorial is download the actual mp4 file of the YouTube video, so that if you want to edit, share or play it outside YouTube, you can do so. Let's start!

Here are the steps on how to download YouTube video using your android phone

Note: This steps are also doable using your laptop or pc.

1. Open your YouTube app. Go to the video that you want to download and play it. Below it, tap on Share.

2. In the menu that will appear, press on Copy link.

3. You will see a toast message "Copied" after you copied the link of the video.

4. Now, open your web browser. For this tutorial, I will be using Chrome app. Go to this link: https://en.y2mate.is/81/youtube-to-mp4.html.

5. Inside Y2Mate website, paste the link of the video in the YouTube to MP4 Converter and press Start button.

6. You will be presented with different quality of the YouTube video that you want to download. Press the Convert button of the video quality that you want.

7. After the conversion (YouTube to mp4) is done, press the Download button to download your video.

8. Wait for the download to finish.

9. When done, go to your Download folder and play your video.

10. Done! You just successfully downloaded and played a YouTube video directly using the video player of your android phone.
