How to install DokuWiki in XAMPP Windows 11
DokuWiki is a simple to use and highly versatile Open Source wiki software that doesn't require a database. Yep! You can easily install and have a Wiki website without installing a database. It was developed by Andreas Gohr and was released on July 4, 2004. It is available in 74 languages and it is 100% free to use.
Before installing your DokuWiki website download the needed files first below.
Requirements to install Concrete CMS in XAMPP using Windows 11 pc

Here are the steps on how to install DokuWiki in XAMPP using your Windows 11 pc
XAMPP installation on Windows 11
1. After downloading XAMPP, install it. In the Question regarding running antivirus, just disregard it and press the YES button to proceed.

2. In Warning about "User Account Control", just press OK.

3. Inside Setup - XAMPP, press the NEXT button.

4. In the Select Components, just leave it and press the NEXT button again.

5. In the Installation folder, press NEXT again.

6. Under Language, select English and press NEXT again.

7. You are now ready to install your XAMPP, press NEXT again.

8. Wait for the installation and unpacking to finish.

9. In the "Completing the XAMPP Setup Wizard", just uncheck the "Do you want to start the Control Panel now?" and press the Finish button to exit.

Running XAMPP Control Panel's Apache and MySQL
1. To run your XAMPP, go to search and type xampp and press ENTER.

2. Inside XAMPP Control Panel, click the Start buttons for Apache and MySQL.

3. Your Apache and MySQL are both running now. You will see that the two buttons are now set to Stop.

4. If there is a Windows Security Alert, just press Allow access.

Copying DokuWiki installer to HTDOCS folder
1. Now, we need to copy and paste the DokuWiki folder inside the htdocs folder. Make sure you already extracted the file that you downloaded above. You can rename it as dokuwiki for this tutorial. Now go to search and type "this pc" and press ENTER.

2. Inside This PC, open your C drive.

3. Inside, find and click the xampp folder.

4. Inside xampp folder, click the htdocs folder.

5. Paste your dokuwiki folder inside the htdocs folder.

DokuWiki installation via Localhost or 127.0.0.1
1. We are now going to install our DokuWiki website. Open your internet browser (e.g. Chrome, Firefox). In the address bar, enter 127.0.0.1/dokuwiki/install.php and press ENTER.

2. In the DokuWiki Installer, enter the name of your Wiki website. Check the "Enable ACL". Type admin in the Superuser. For Real name, enter any name that you want. For the email address, input a valid one (you can use this to reset your admin account password). Enter your password and confirm it. Do not forget your password. Also check the "Allow users to register themselves". Leave the other fields as they are and press Save.

3. Done! Your DokuWiki website is created. You need to delete the install.php file inside your installation folder.

4. Go to This PC > C drive > xampp > htdocs > dokuwiki. Find the install.php file and delete it.

5. Go to your address bar again and type 127.0.0.1/dokuwiki and press ENTER.

6. Click the Pencil button to edit your homepage topic. See image below.

7. In the menu that will appear, click "Create this page".

8. Edit the text to anything that you want. When done, press the Save button.

Accessing DokuWiki website home page
1. To access your Wiki homepage, go to 127.0.0.1/dokuwiki and press ENTER.

Accessing DokuWiki website ADMIN account
1. To access your Wiki admin page to manage your Wiki account. Click the Log In link.

2. Login the username and password that you created using the tutorial above. Press Log in to open your admin account.

3. Inside your admin account, you will see there links that are only available to you as admin of the Wiki website that you just created.
