How to Relink PayPal to GCash

If you cannot cash in money from your linked PayPal account to your GCash, then, you definitely need to re-link your PayPal to your GCash. And that is what I am going to show you for this post. This post also assumes that you already did the linking, if not yet, then you can follow this tutorial: How to Link PayPal to my GCash account.

I don't know the exact reason why this can happen even though you already did the linking before. But maybe because there is an update on GCash or PayPal. Or maybe this is just a bug. I do not know but, who can tell?

Just make sure you already converted your PayPal money to Philippine Peso (for conversion tutorial click here) if you want to cash in because GCash only accepts PHP and not USD or other denominations. And make sure also you have at least PHP500 on your PayPal account to be able to cash in. Otherwise, your re-linking is useless because you won't be able to cash in later.

Now, without further ado, let's start.

Here are the steps on how do I re-link my PayPal email to my GCash account

1. Open and login your GCash account. Inside, tap on Profile located in the lower-right corner of your screen. See image below.

2. Inside your Profile, press on My Linked Accounts.

3. Inside My Linked Accounts, find and press PayPal.

4. Inside PayPal, you will see there your currently linked PayPal account email address. Below, press the Link button.

5. Now, PayPal will say that your GCash wallet is already linked to your PayPal account. Just ignore it and press YES to proceed.

6. Under Link Account, press the Authorize button. Authorization includes allowing GCash to transfer funds from your PayPal to your GCash, and obtaining your PayPal balance as well.

7. You will then need to enter your PayPal-registered email address. When done, press the NEXT button.

8. Next, enter your password for your PayPal account. Press the Log In button to proceed.

9. A 6-digit security code will be sent to your PayPal-registered mobile number. PayPal is just checking if it is really you who is doing the re-linking process. Press the NEXT button to confirm.

10. Upon receiving the code, enter it on the space provided. If you do not receive it, just press Resend. When done, press Continue.

11. If successful, you will see the Identity confirmed page. You will be redirected.

12. And the re-linking is a success. PayPal will send confirmation email to your PayPal-registered email address regarding the process. Though, PayPal will tell you to see GCash on the Preapproved Payment page of your PayPal account, you will see nothing there. Well, it doesn't matter, as long as the linking is a success. Press the Close and Continue button to exit.
