How to Recover GCash Account Forgot MPIN

Mobile Personal Identification Number or MPIN is a 4-digit code or combination of number that you assigned during the registration of your GCash account. So it is very important that you do not forget your MPIN because it is required every time to open your account.

What if you (once in a blue moon) suddenly forgot your GCash MPIN? Can you still recover it? The answer is YES! You can recover it, and that is what we are going to do for this tutorial.

But, make sure that you still have the access to your mobile number and email address that you used during registration of your account. Two different 6-digit codes will be sent to these two and without it, you won't be able to recover or reset your MPIN to a new one.

Another thing, is the authentication process, wherein you will be required to either authenticate the recovery of your MPIN via registered-email again or using your GCash account details (These include: your birthday, email address and your GCredit limit). So, make sure you know the details of your account or else, the recovery of your MPIN will not progress at all.

Assuming that you have all the needed details, then continue doing the given tutorial below.

Here are the steps on how to recover GCash account forgotten MPIN

1. Open GCash app. Tap on the Forgot MPIN? located in the lower-right corner of your screen.

2. In the MPIN recovery, you will be required for 2-step authentication before you can reset your MPIN. Just press the SEND CODE button to proceed. A text message containing the 6-digit code will be sent to your registered-mobile number in GCash.

3. Under Authentication, type the 6-digit code sent to your registered-number. And press the Submit button to confirm.

4. Still under Authentication, another 6-digit code will be sent to your registered-email address. Go to your email address and open the email from GCash with the code. Type the given code in the space provided. Press the Submit button again to confirm.

5. Now, you will be required for another Authentication. You have 2 options. First is verifying using your registered-email address. Second is through Account details. For this tutorial, I selected the Verify with Account Details.

6. Under My GCash Information, you will be asked for your Birthday, the email address that you used to register your GCash account, and your GCredit limit. Input all the needed details correctly. When done, press the Submit button to proceed.

7. IF you passed STEP 6, you will be redirected to set a new MPIN for your account. If you do, type a new MPIN and then verify it. When done, tap on the SUBMIT button again.

8. If all went through and all the details needed by GCash was met, then, the reset of your MPIN is a success. Just press the OK button to exit.

9. Done! You have successfully recover your GCash account forgotten MPIN.

Moral Lessons:

• Never forget your MPIN and GCash account details. If you are a forgetful person, then, write your details on a piece of paper and hide it in a safe place.
• Always make sure your registered-number and email on GCash is active. Take care of these two always.
