How to turn off Messenger Lite Notifications on Android

Facebook Messenger is a very important app for those people who are in business and using it to earn money or just to connect to someone who is far away. And as long as your notifications are enabled for this app, you will definitely know when someone DM (direct message) you because of the app sound for new messages received.

For some, the notifications are just normal, but for some one like me, I do not like these notifications popping out every time on my android phone as well as the sound it creates. And for this tutorial, I will show you how to turn off Facebook Messenger Lite notifications on your phone.

Though I will be using my TECNO phone for this post, the same steps may apply for other android phone brands. And do not worry, I also included steps below for other android phones.

Here are the steps on how to turn off Facebook Messenger Lite notifications on your android phone

1. Tap on Settings icon on your phone.

2. Inside Settings, tap on Notification center.

3. Inside Notification center, tap on Notification management.

4. And under Notification management, find Messenger Lite. As you can see, its toggle switch is currently ON.

5. Just tap the toggle switch for Messenger Lite to turn it OFF.

6. Done! You have successfully turned off Facebook Messenger Lite notifications on your android phone.

How to turn off Messenger Lite notifications on other android phone brands

Acer

Go to Settings > Notifications > press Messenger Lite app > press Block all to enable it

Alcatel

Open Settings > Apps > View all apps > tap on Messenger Lite app > press App notifications > press ON to turn it OFF

Asus

Settings > Apps & notifications > Notification manager > Don't show notifications for Messenger Lite

At&t

Settings > Apps & manager > Notifications > See all apps > disable Messenger Lite app

HTC

Settings > Apps > select Messenger Lite > uncheck Show notifications > press OK

Huawei

Settings > Notifications > find and press Messenger Lite app > disable Allow notifications

Infinix

Settings > Apps & notifications > Notifications > see all apps > switch off button for Messenger Lite app to disable

Motorola

Go to Settings > Apps & notifications > Notifications > Advanced > Turn Allow notification dots OFF for Messenger Lite app

Settings > Apps and notifications > Notifications > See all from last 7 days > turn off notification dots for Messenger Lite app

Settings > Notifications & status bar > select Messenger Lite to turn off

Settings > Notifications & status bar > Manage notifications > select Messenger Lite app to turn off

Settings > Notifications > More > All > select Messenger Lite app to turn off
