How to Uninstall Phone Link on Windows 11

I just bought a new Acer laptop with 8GB RAM and it has Windows 11 operating system. One day, I opened it and when it already loaded my desktop it is very slow. I have to force shutdown it because it hangs a lot. After restarting my laptop, I have found in the Task Manager that Windows Phone Link is eating over 100 MB of my RAM (see image below).

I never used this default app before so I decided to just remove it. And for this tutorial, I will show you how to do it.

Here are the steps on how to uninstall Phone Link app in Windows 11 pc

1. By default, you won't be able to uninstall Phone Link by going to Add/Remove Program inside Control Panel. So, what we need to do is install a free and safe program. Go to https://startallback.com and download StartAllBack. After downloading, install it.

2. In the Welcome menu, just select Proper 11.

3. In Start Menu, turn on the "Use enhanced classic start menu."

4. Now, since your turned on the classic start menu, you will notice that your Windows 11 Start Menu is back to its old style. Go to All Programs.

5. Find and click on Apps folder.

6. Inside Apps, find Phone Link.

7. When you see the app, right-click on it and then press Uninstall.

8. Windows will confirm if you really want to uninstall Phone Link. Just press the Uninstall button to confirm.

9. Done! You just easily uninstalled Phone Link on your Windoows 11 pc.

How to re-install Phone Link on Windows 11

1. Go to Start and in search type "settings" and then press ENTER.

2. Inside Settings, click Bluetooth & Devices.

3. Find and click on Phone Link.

4. Inside Phone Link, click the Open Phone Link button.

5. Select "Look for an app in the Microsoft Store" and press OK to proceed.

6. Wait for a while, and then it will show you the Phone Link app. Click the app.

7. Click the Get button.

8. If there is a verification age needed, just verify your age by submitting your birthday. If there is none proceed to STEP 10. If there is, press the NEXT button to go to STEP 9.

9. Confirm your age and press NEXT again.

10. Phone Link app will download and install itself.

11. Now, press OPEN button after installation.

12. Done! Reinstalling Phone Link app is a success. Just go through the process to set it up.
